In this role, you will participate in project delivery in executing innovative planning, evaluation, design, permit, and construction support services for a variety of treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines, and projects for industrial and municipal clients in the areas of water and wastewater. We are looking for a Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineer with a PE license that will provide project engineering. Job Responsibilities

Application of Knowledge: Directs and is accountable for all aspects of the design effort on a project for the disciplines assigned, including conformance of project systems and components with all relevant project criteria; coordinates among disciplines and conformance to corporate standards for design documents (calculations, drawings, specifications). Client Management: Directs and is accountable for criteria acquisition from the client, distribution to the AE team, and communicating appropriate responses; operates as primary client interface during design; ensures meeting minutes document all client meetings; when client needs are not defined, seeks to understand criteria and documents what is needed for effective delivery; maintains a positive client relationship; develops potential future work opportunities. Construction Support: Monitors design team response to RFIs and submittal reviews; assists in prioritizing critical responses; tracks cost, scheduling, and purchasing of equipment and services when assigned; supervises or participates in installations and start-up. Change Management: Responsible for design scope change definition and management and impact to schedule and financial performance; documents all changes in scope by terms of the contract. Financial: Develops design budget, fees, and scopes; monitors financial performance monthly; monitors weekly fee burn rate for short-duration projects; ensures Owner invoicing by terms of the contract (design only projects); selects and manages outside consultants as needed; monitors project cash flow; communicates financial status to project management as appropriate. Scheduling: Coordinates staff allocation to projects; develops the design schedule; provides regular schedule updates; works with the Project Executive on proposal pricing and deliverables; directs and is accountable for design schedule compliance and resolves scheduling conflicts. Strategy: Participates in developing and executing a “win strategy” for proposals; supports marketing and business development; seeks innovative ways to provide design deliverables; develops a cohesive drawing and specifications production strategy; contributes to design project management policies and procedures. Leadership: Supervises project personnel; maintains regular project communications; ensures contractual requirements are satisfied; leads integration of design and construction staff; negotiates issue resolutions; performs administrative duties and participates in corporate quality programs and AE/corporate initiatives; ensures design documents reside on the network and are archived. Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture (preferred) 10+ years of progressive experience in a design discipline leading to 5 years as an independent lead designer and at least 3 years performing design management and coordination in support of a design project manager Working knowledge of one or two related design disciplines (e.g., process & automation or mechanical & electrical) and ability to manage and coordinate all design activities thereof Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications

Professional registration or registration eligible (Professional Engineer or Registered Architect preferred) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred) Experience with industrial design projects Past experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on $100M+ project scopes Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of design document production and presentation software Ability to budget, manage and forecast in EcoSys or other approved design management software Strong communications, negotiations, management, and leadership skills Knowledge and experience in design project management including budgeting, scheduling, proposal writing, staffing, coordination, forecasting, conflict resolution, and change management PMP certification desired but not required Benefits

While performing the duties of this job, this position requires ordinary ambulatory skills to visit other locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds; good hand-eye coordination and dexterity; ability to read application/form information and operate equipment.
