Sr. Principal Strategist, Inspire Value - Telco and Media
ServiceNow seeks a Sr. Principal Strategist, Inspire Value - Telco and Media to work with customer-centric sales teams and other key functions to identify, calculate, and develop value narratives for our most strategic customers and biggest bets. Narratives should demonstrate impact on customers’ P&L (reduce costs, increase revenue), show industry relevancy across Telco & Media priorities, and be compelling in nature. The Strategist will serve as the main point of contact for the AMS-based Telco & Media account sales teams, helping connect with senior and C-suite stakeholders and elevating messaging, communications, and experience with a financial acumen and industry-based lens. The Ideal Candidate Brings a Powerful Combination Of Consulting experience at a leading strategy / consulting firm Experience from working for a leading telecommunications company Working knowledge of how technology can drive transformation in Telco & Media Experience in a customer-facing role selling and delivering consulting services S/he will align with core and solution account teams to seed and develop strategic opportunities, build trusted relationships with customer and partner executives, partner with sales leaders, and contribute to revenue growth in Telco & Media accounts in AMS. This Strategist is responsible for three areas of responsibility: Industry-relevant value strategy: Develop value narratives and horizons for ServiceNow’s most strategic customers that are industry-relevant and compelling; work with account teams to identify and align extended go-to-market around dream big value narrative ideas. Value output driving pipeline generation and expansion: Partner with account executives to progress pipeline by infusing value and industry expertise; calculate analyses for top pursuits, including value estimates and outcome-focused business cases; tailor storytelling for different customer audiences (e.g., CIO vs. LOB owner). Value KPI design: identify the value of use cases and key processes within Telco & Media; work with cross-functional teams to infuse these insights into value models, business cases, and executive presentations. Qualified candidates will have senior leadership experience in the Telco industry, strong financial modeling acumen, and depth of expertise in strategic consulting. The role requires hands-on involvement in multi-year strategy development and in updating trackers for opportunities and pursuits. The ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment while maintaining a north-star perspective is essential. The candidate should stay aligned with broader ServiceNow and Global Sales priorities, advising on messaging, channels, and approaches to deliver the best possible solutions for customers. We seek a high-energy, relationship-building, empathetic partner with a business-building mindset and excellent communication skills. Qualifications Experience integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (AI tools, automating workflows, AI-driven insights, etc.). 5+ years in the Telco industry with demonstrated success in strategy, operations, and day-to-day functions 10+ years at a top-tier consulting firm designing and driving transformational change for Telco & Media clients Exceptional financial acumen and modeling skills Exceptional executive presentation skills – in person, on Zoom, with C-level audiences Ability to build trusted advisor relationships with customers and sales organizations; ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams on strategy, messaging, and engagement Experience producing thought leadership content and communications Resourceful, self-motivated, and able to prioritize in a dynamic, high-growth environment Agile mindset; ability to work in a matrix organization with distributed teams, leading through influence Proven ability to achieve revenue targets for the region and accounts in partnership with direct account sales teams Strong organizational skills and prioritization abilities Ability to travel up to 40% of the time Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering or related fields Equal Opportunity Employer: ServiceNow is an equal opportunity employer.
