Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives, Global Executive Marketing
AWS Marketing is looking for a skilled program manager to drive and deliver experiential customer‑facing spaces. You’ll orchestrate the full lifecycle—from design iterations to implementation and launch—while managing multiple stakeholder relationships across AWS’s ecosystem and external firms. Working with global teams, you’ll maintain a unified strategy that aligns with AWS’s business objectives and guidelines to deliver world‑class customer experiences.
Success requires equal parts creative vision, execution, risk mitigation, and strong project management capabilities to track project progress and manage relationships with vendors and workstream leads, while continuously evaluating and optimizing program effectiveness through feedback. On a typical day, this role engages with various internal and external teams to align and develop compelling immersive customer experiences. They participate in and lead cross‑functional meetings with stakeholders and vendors, maintain detailed project trackers, and contribute to regular business reviews and status reports. The role involves audience and industry research to ensure experiences resonate with customers, while also reviewing and implementing vendor recommendations.
Key job responsibilities
Manage project workback plan and drive workstream progression across various internal and external teams
Inform the design process and oversee the creation of design plans for site builds
Contribute to rhythm of the business reporting and status updates
Manage tracking and digital file sharing for respective program materials
Support related to side projects
This role requires travel a few times a year to perform site visits and facilitate pre‑launch and launch activities.
A day in the life
Engage with workstream leads regarding workstream progression, identifying and raising risks and recommendations to mitigate and remove blockers
Updating and maintaining workback plans
Participating in and leading cross‑functional calls with stakeholders including vendors on design plans and activations
Managing communications including, but not limited to, contributing to rhythm of the business updates, agendas, action items, recaps, and follow‑ups
Review vendor recommendations, scenario planning, identify gaps and risks and recommended approach
Research and understand customer audience and industry standards for customer‑facing spaces
About The Team This role is part of Global Executive Marketing (GEM), the heartbeat of AWS’s executive customer marketing. GEM programs help architect the relationships between C‑suite customers and AWS that help shape the future of cloud computing and AI. Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional non‑internship marketing experience
Experience managing or working within cross‑functional marketing and creative teams
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Knowledge of project management tools
Experience in vendor management
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of enterprise cloud strategies and distributed applications
Knowledge of design process
4+ years of experience in executive customer‑facing programs
