Job Overview
BIM Designer
– Actalent, Portland, OR. Drive the Building Information Modeling process to deliver high-quality 3D models and construction documents on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
Act as the modeler for electrical projects, managing tasks, setting priorities, and overseeing quality assurance and quality control of 3D modeling and 2D drawing deliverables according to VC Standards.
Interpret project schedules, budgets, and deliverable requirements to plan effectively.
Work closely with the prefabrication department to ensure seamless project execution.
Maintain clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers.
Use Revit to produce shop drawings from 3D models, adhering to company standards.
Download and manage drawings and information from online sources, SharePoint, and project websites.
Prepare and assemble document sets for transmittal to other parties.
Collaborate effectively with Virtual Construction and Prefab team members.
Understand and comply with client policies and procedures.
Translate verbal and written directions into accurate, functional design documents.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360.
Experience with electrical drafting and construction documents.
Ability to produce construction drawings and Revit MEP designs.
Experience working on advanced facility construction projects.
Familiarity with working in the semiconductor industry.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
Work Environment Office setting with mentorship opportunities. Work closely with design teams and onsite electricians; flexible location in Hillsboro or Portland office.
Compensation & Benefits Pay range: $35.00–$40.00 per hour.
