Primary purpose:
This position plays an instrumental role in developing and executing the marketing strategy, planning and tactical execution of our Women’s Health and Oncology service lines. The Service Line Marketing Specialist works directly with marketing leadership (CMO), physician stakeholders, service line directors, practice managers and vendors to increase regional and national awareness, preference and ultimately drive new patient volume and surgical market share. This experienced professional is a key member of the marketing team and will be able to put his/her innovative ideas into action to drive targeted marketing initiatives to the next level.
Responsibilities
Strategy:
Lead the development of a marketing strategy to drive patient acquisition and increase brand reputation for women’s health and oncology, primary care and precision medicine, including assessing market, competition, trends, and programs.
Execution (Direct to Consumer):
Develop and execute the marketing plan across omni‑channel approaches, including PR, CRM, web content, social media, videos, digital strategies, SEO & SEM; collaborate with call center and agencies, monitor and report performance metrics.
Execution (Direct to Physician):
Partner with the physician relations team to manage and coordinate marketing strategies supporting physician referral growth, developing direct‑to‑physician materials, research initiatives, and distribution plans, plus ongoing communication platforms (email, direct mail, symposium).
Add‑on Marketing Support:
Assist with additional service lines, provide consultation and resource recommendations, and collaborate with support staff for low‑budget needs such as brochure and website updates.
Financial Management:
Manage the budget for assigned accounts and services.
Other Duties:
Serve on hospital committees, participate in media on‑call rotation, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience in a marketing or related role; proficient in MS Office; budget management; strategic and analytical thinking; excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Education:
College degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, strategic communications, business or a related field.
Years of Experience:
Minimum 3 years in marketing, advertising, digital marketing and/or communications (preferred – 3 years in healthcare marketing and physician interaction).
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Strong strategic thinker; proven project management; measurement and tracking experience; excellent presentation and writing skills; familiarity with AP style; advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; digital marketing expertise (online display, content marketing, social media, mobile applications); experience coordinating integrated marketing/communications plans; knowledge of general layout/design and photography helpful.
