Marketing and Administration Specialist

The Linn-Mar School Foundation seeks a marketing and administration specialist to ensure sustainable financial support and increased visibility. This position is responsible for designing and implementing strategies that strengthen donor relationships, expand philanthropic revenue streams, and elevate the organization’s brand through effective storytelling, marketing, and public engagement.
Responsibilities
Assist with implementing the annual fundraising plan and related campaigns. Support donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition activities.
Conduct donor and prospect research to identify funding opportunities.
Assist with preparation, writing, and submission of grant proposals and reports. Coordinate logistics for fundraising events and donor engagement activities.
Communication and Marketing
Contribute to the development and scheduling of social media and website content. Draft and edit newsletters, press releases, donor stories, and other communications. Assist with the production of marketing and promotional materials.
Support brand consistency across print and digital platforms.
Track and analyze engagement metrics for communications channels.
Maintain media and community partner contact lists.
Collaborate with staff to collect program success stories and impact data for use in outreach.
Administration
Assistance with day‑to‑day operations of the organization.
Grant support and tracking.
Project management.
Financial compliance support.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field. 1–3 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or communications (nonprofit experience preferred).
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Basic design or layout skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms) a plus.
