Associa is a company with a network of branch offices across North America and a long-standing commitment to community management. We are hiring a Community Manager who will supervise a community association and interact with homeowners, vendors, board members and committees to support operation and governance.
Responsibilities
Supervise the operation and administration of the Association in accordance with the management agreement and the Association's policies and procedures
Act as or oversee the primary liaison with the Association Board of Directors and homeowners as needed
Perform/direct administrative and management duties as requested by the Board and in accordance with the management agreement
Ensure community management tools are developed and utilized (annual calendar, action item lists, resolution worksheets, agendas, RFP matrices, committee charters, procurement procedures, FY operating budget, etc.)
Review monthly financial reports and ensure management summaries are provided to the Board
Provide and/or oversee recommendations to the Board and committees regarding major capital expenditures to maintain community standards
Monitor delinquency rates and the collections process for the account portfolio
Attend Board meetings and community events as needed
Prepare Board packages within established time frames
Ensure the Board is aware of legal actions involving the Association
Maintain unit and contract files related to the operations of the Association
Assist Board/ARB with architectural review processes and routine inspections as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred
1 - 3 years of Community Association or equivalent experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of communities, property, real estate and homeowners associations
Knowledge of the role of the association board and the Community Association Manager
Time management and prioritization skills
Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and a team player
Professional customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques
Certifications & Licenses
Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) is a bonus
Valid Driver's License
