Williamson’s Chapel UMC, Mooresville, NC (20 miles N of Charlotte) is seeking a Worship Leader for the 10:55 AM Connect service. The Worship Leader will develop and lead a youth band and work with staff to support all worship ministries of the church. Vary weekly, averaging 40 hours for full-time or 25 hours for part-time. Flexibility required. Job Responsibilities:
The Associate will serve as the primary worship leader for the 10:55 Connect service, lead the youth praise band, and support all contemporary worship experiences. Full-time staff will also oversee A/V and media production ministries. Worship
Partner with the Director to enhance worship and arts across services. Lead planning and execution of the 10:55 Connect worship service. Recruit, coordinate, and schedule musicians. Plan and prepare up to 2 annual contemporary concerts. Attend weekly staff meetings, Worship Council meetings, long-range planning, and Sunday morning meetings. Provide music for funerals and weddings (additional compensation for weddings). Youth
Lead worship and music for Sunday night youth meetings. Develop and lead a youth praise band, including recruiting and rehearsing. Partner with youth musicians to develop skills. Participate in youth mission trips and retreats to facilitate worship. Audio/Video
Provide A/V support for all church events, including services, special occasions, and concerts. Handle A/V and recording for weddings and funerals. Develop and train a team of A/V volunteers. Maintain technical equipment and create service presentations in Pro Presenter. Report equipment issues immediately and ensure supplies are stocked. Media Production
Create video content for ministries, including sermon intros, slideshows, and promos. Manage social media opportunities like Facebook Live and Instagram Stories. Job responsibilities may evolve based on church needs. Qualifications
Experience in leading contemporary worship. Strong musical, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Project coordination and volunteer management experience. Teamwork, commitment to excellence, and stress management skills. Organizational, computer, and technology skills. Video editing experience and willingness to learn new equipment/software.
