Veteran’s Day on the Beach , a
USA Hockey–sanctioned
event featuring
AA, A, and B teams (ages 10–18) . You’ll help bring the excitement of South Florida hockey to viewers nationwide by operating solo live streams at elite venues across the region. ROLE: SOLO STREAMER As a
Solo Streamer , you are the
commentator, producer, and camera operator
— the full on-site broadcast team for your rink. You’ll set up your equipment, run the stream, call the play-by-play, and ensure each game looks and sounds professional for families and fans watching live. RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate live-stream equipment
(camera, laptop, audio, and overlays) using OBS or similar software Deliver live play-by-play commentary and basic color analysis
— must know hockey rules, gameplay flow, and player positioning Frame and follow the action
smoothly and dynamically; anticipate plays and maintain puck visibility Monitor stream health , troubleshoot connectivity or equipment issues, and communicate with remote GOLS support when needed Engage audiences professionally and enthusiastically , maintaining clear and appropriate on-air presence Record key details
(team names, scores, game notes) for production logs and post-event reporting Break down and properly pack equipment
at the end of each shift EVENT DETAILS

Thursday evening (Nov 6) Availability:
Full-day Friday through Sunday (7 AM – 8 PM) Venues include: Florida Panthers IceDen (Coral Springs) Baptist Health IcePlex (Fort Lauderdale) Palm Beach Skate Zone (Lake Worth) Amerant Bank Arena (Sunrise) Boca Ice & Fine Arts Center (Boca Raton) The Rink on the Beach (Pompano Beach) Pines Ice Arena (Pembroke Pines) COMPENSATION & LOGISTICS
Pay:
$20–$25/hr (based on experience and location) Type:
Independent Contractor (W-9 required) Hours:
Up to 12+ hrs/day (Fri–Sun) Travel:
Must have reliable transportation between rinks (within ~50 miles) Environment:
Cold rinks, fast-paced setup, and live production environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
18+ years old (preferred; 16+ considered with experience) Strong understanding of
ice hockey
— positions, rules, penalties, and flow of play Comfortable delivering
live, unscripted commentary
for extended periods Tech-savvy: able to manage Windows laptops, Wi-Fi connections, and streaming software Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented under pressure Able to lift and move up to 40 lbs of gear Professional appearance and communication at all times PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior hockey commentary, production, or camera-operation experience Familiarity with
OBS Studio ,
vMix , or similar platforms Basic understanding of networking and audio troubleshooting Previous event operations, media, or customer-service experience ABOUT GOLS
