Title: Aircraft Communications Specialist
Location: 100% on site in Oklahoma City, OK
Duration: 6‑month contract to hire
Pay Rate on Contract: $45‑$52 per hour
Pay Rate upon conversion: $106,000 annually

Responsibilities
Perform ground/airborne aircraft communications testing and troubleshooting of all communication systems and established procedures to provide feedback and submit changes as required.
Assist with drafting exercise and procedural message traffic under direction of the Deputy for Communications.
Fly on the E‑6B troubleshooting/validating communications issues/resolution as required by the N6 and may be tasked to perform the duties as an exercise observer when required.
Attend meetings, taking and distributing meeting “minutes”, maintaining files and records, and assist in researching and preparation of plans and procedures advice and recommendations.
Perform trend analysis of E‑6B communications equipment performance and discrepancies in order to provide recommendations for system and equipment repair.
Assist in root cause analysis efforts in the E‑6B communications suite. Perform daily analysis of TACAMO/airborne command post missions for communications anomalies, non‑delivery or non‑receipt of required messages to include communications systems software and prepare software trouble reports for any communications system on aircraft.
Perform as the aircraft systems subject matter expert for the Command Configuration Control Board.
Identify training needs and ensuring the training needs are communicated to the appropriate authority.
Must have a previous qualification as an “EKMS User” in accordance with the requirements of EKMS 1A.
Shall have knowledge/experience in U.S. Navy communications to include Joint Army Navy Air Force Publications and Allied Communications Publications, fleet broadcast procedures, and NC3 communications architecture.
Provide technical assistance to the FIT and VX‑20 as required.
Requirements
Active Secret Clearance or higher.
5+ years of experience with E‑6B aircraft.
Associate’s Degree or higher.
5+ years of experience troubleshooting aircraft communication equipment.
