This role is Bangkok-based with relocation provided and involves joining Agoda’s Design Team to shape consumer-facing travel experiences. Day to day / Role purpose
As the Design Lead for our Consumer-Facing Products, you’ll guide and execute the vision for accommodation funnels that directly engage customers. You’ll lead a team of designers, collaborate with product stakeholders and engineers, and drive user-centric design that aligns with business goals and KPIs. You’ll balance user needs with business objectives, advocate for the user, and drive industry-leading UX solutions for Agoda’s accommodation products. You’ll also help define and communicate a coherent medium-to-long term design vision with milestones and actions. Responsibilities include shaping design strategy for complex initiatives, ensuring quality design decisions, fostering a healthy high-performing team, hiring designers, coaching direct reports, and partnering with design leadership to shape management practices. Manage scope of work for your team and determine how to divide work among designers. Lead design strategy for complex initiatives and grow design leaders. Align design efforts with core product initiatives, business objectives, and metrics. Ensure successful execution by addressing questions, bottlenecks, dependencies, and conflicts with stakeholders; ensure high-quality design decisions. Maintain and apply effective design processes. Build a healthy, high-performing team; hire designers to fill open headcount; foster a positive team culture. Coach and mentor direct reports to grow their competencies and careers. Lead projects to define and sell a medium- to long-term design vision with milestones and actions; contribute to building the design organization as part of wider company strategy. Represent the team to management, advocate for priorities, and flag challenges such as underperformance or misalignment. Partner with a design leadership team to shape management practices and mentor other design leaders. Qualifications / What we value
