About The Role The Project Manager position plays a key role in our organization as the company’s management representative leading key project(s) from conceptual phases and pre-construction through construction and commissioning/close-out. This includes oversight and direction of subcontractors, design firms, project managers and project engineers and developing a complementary functional working relationship with the Project Superintendent to provide our clients with a project that is safely completed within budget, on schedule, in accordance with quality standards and meeting the customer’s satisfaction. Typically, this role is executing assignments that are larger, more technically complex, multiple projects, or of critical importance to the organization. The project manager conceptualizes a plan to execute the project and ensure logistics and work flow activities and objectives are clear to all team members. In addition, the project manager will seek to extend relationships to build work with new and existing clients and will work to build new project opportunities for the organization.
Responsibilities
Lead key projects from conceptual phases through close-out, coordinating with subcontractors, design firms, project managers and project engineers.
Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Plan and communicate project workflows and objectives to all team members.
Build relationships to create new project opportunities and expand existing client engagements.
Qualifications
10-15 years progressive growth in Design Build Project Management Construction
Experience managing projects in excess of $5MM or multiple concurrent projects in excess of $1MM
Knowledge of risk management and risk mitigation
Negotiation, relationship development, and strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to identify and resolve complex issues; capable of independent workload management
Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects; detail-oriented with ability to see the overall picture
Growing knowledge of life sciences and advanced technology industry specifics
Construction knowledge with cost and schedule impact/control understanding; project database and procedural knowledge
Proficiency with BlueBeam, Planswift, Microsoft Office, MS Project or Primavera, Timberline, PROCORE and other project software
