What You Will Do As a sales representative for Stryker’s Communications Business, you will help make healthcare better by connecting groundbreaking technology and improved patient outcomes. You will use innovation to transform healthcare by creating and selling our Operating Room (OR) of the Future. Your work will involve combining technical expertise, strategic thinking, exceptional sales skills, and strong interpersonal abilities to drive innovation and foster successful health‑care collaborations.
Responsibilities
Promote and sell Stryker Communications products.
Educate and inform doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel on proper use and maintenance of Stryker products.
Direct product evaluations in OR and office settings.
Assist in the preparation and operation of trade shows, conventions, and/or clinical meetings.
Keep regional manager informed of territory progress on a regular basis.
Resolve customer product problems expeditiously.
Assist in training and development of sales personnel.
Experience / Skills Required
2–5 years in an outside medical sales position (medical related experience preferred).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; five (5) years of commercial sales experience or medical field experience with operating room exposure.
Ability to routinely negotiate price and terms between Stryker and its customers.
Fundamental understanding of Stryker products and ability to disseminate this knowledge.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email, etc.
Ability to operate common office equipment (smartphone, tablet, Microsoft Office, Outlook).
Capability to drive an automobile; up to 20% overnight travel annually.
Physical requirement: up to 50 pounds force occasionally and 20 pounds force frequently.
