Overview

The Brand Content Specialist produces evergreen, trend-driven social content while driving measurable growth across the brand’s social channels. Bringing a strong understanding of internet culture and social media trends, this role produces shareable, scroll-stopping content that increases key metrics like followers, shares, saves, and comments. The Brand Content Specialist uses performance insights to optimize strategies, identify growth opportunities, and ensure all content supports broader brand and marketing goals. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:

Responsibilities

Maintain editorial calendars and content pipelines, ensuring all assets are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Manage daily posting, reviewing all content for accuracy, brand alignment, and visual quality.

Coordinate with internal teams to keep content production on schedule.

Create engaging content that drives audience growth, boosts engagement, and strengthens the brand’s presence across social channels.

Monitor internet trends, memes, and viral formats, translating them into content ideas that resonate with digital audiences.

Engage with the online community through comments, messages, and timely cultural moments.

Analyze social performance metrics and adjust content strategy to optimize results.

Test new content formats, features, or posting strategies to increase reach and engagement.

Foster conversations and connections within the community to strengthen brand loyalty.

Additional duties and projects as required.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred but not required, with 2–4 years of experience in social media marketing, digital content creation, or community management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hands-on experience managing social channels including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X with proven success in audience growth and engagement.

Strong understanding of internet culture, online communities, and emerging social media trends.

Required Computer and/or Technical Skills

Proficiency with social content creation, publishing tools, and analytics.

Familiarity with social listening and performance tools; Brandwatch and Google Suite experience preferred.

Strong creative instincts with the ability to quickly adapt to new formats and digital trends.
