Job Summary:
DCW Media, a well-established and growing independent media buying agency, is seeking an Entry-Level Advertising / Marketing
Media Assistant
to support our team of Media Buyers in executing strategic advertising campaigns. This position plays a vital role in the
research, planning, and coordination
of traditional media campaigns across
Broadcast Television, Cable, Radio, Streaming Audio, and Streaming TV
on both local and national levels. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive team player with strong organizational skills, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine interest in the media industry. This position reports directly to the
VP, Media Director , and provides foundational support to ensure our clients' media campaigns run smoothly and efficiently. This position is an in-person only role, located in Ronkonkoma, NY (Long Island), DCW’s headquarters. Key Responsibilities: Assist Media Buyers with campaign research, including ratings, audience data, cost comparisons, and market trends. Help coordinate and maintain local and national media buys for Broadcast TV, Cable, Radio, and Streaming platforms. Support the preparation of media flowcharts, proposals, and buy summaries. Track and manage vendor communications and maintain updated media kits/rate cards. Assist in processing insertion orders, verifying creative specs, and confirming media placements. Maintain organized records of campaign documents, revisions, and client files. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution. Stay up to date with emerging media trends and tools, particularly in traditional and streaming audio/video channels. Perform additional administrative and project-based duties as assigned by the VP, Media Director. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant work experience in advertising or media. 1–2 years of internship or agency experience in media, marketing, or communications is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of traditional media buying and planning principles a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
