creates science-backed content to educate and engage an audience around high-protein, low-calorie foods. You’ll translate complex nutritional concepts into accessible articles and collaborate with the customer experience, marketing, communications, and R&D teams. David is building a petri brand focused on high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods. The first product is a protein bar, and the company aims to become a leading brand in North America and beyond, led by CEO Peter Rahal. Responsibilities
Research and write high-quality, science-based blog articles on health, nutrition, and fitness topics Propose and develop article ideas such as: “What matters more: Protein quality or quantity?”; “A practical guide to hitting 150g of protein”; “How we calculate our Nutrition Facts.” Maintain rigorous standards: ensure content is accurate, well-sourced, and properly cited with quality academic/medical references Balance depth and clarity: make dense science digestible without oversimplifying Stay informed on the latest nutritional research, consumer trends, and regulatory shifts Edit and revise articles based on feedback to ensure consistency in tone, accuracy, and readability Deliver all assignments on time and reliably meet deadlines What you’ll bring
Exceptionally strong writing skills with a clear, concise, and engaging style Formal education or equivalent experience in Nutrition, Exercise Science, Physiology, Biochemistry, or related field with a solid understanding of human health and performance Ability to parse and interpret scientific research (journals, clinical trials, meta-analyses) Interest or basic knowledge in content visibility in search optimization and generative AI discoverability Highly organized and able to meet deadlines independently Required Qualifications
Knowledge and genuine interest in health and nutrition Ability to cite and interpret scientific studies and data accurately Strongly Preferred Qualifications
Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Nutrition, Exercise Science, Physiology, Biochemistry, or related field Experience writing for health-focused brands or publications Familiarity with PubMed, Examine.com, or similar research databases This is a remote, part-time position Writers will be compensated at $30/hour Weekly hours will flex based on business needs with autonomy over schedule within deadlines Join a small team that values precision in product, in writing, and in serving customers Application Process
