Architectural Senior Project Designer – Oakland. A Senior Project Designer is passionate about design and takes leadership. This individual will be the go-to person to use high level technical/computer design skills to turn ideas into reality. The ideal candidate must be able to quickly generate concepts for multi-family, hospitality, and mixed-use design in a fast-paced studio environment using advanced skills in SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Suite. The successful candidate must be able to express oneself clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and communicate ideas in presentations to firm leaders, team members, and clients. They must also possess strong architectural design and planning skills. An exceptional portfolio representing recent work is required to be presented during the interview. Lead and contribute to architectural design and planning for multi-family, hospitality, and mixed-use projects Generate concepts and develop design solutions in a fast-paced studio environment Prepare and present design ideas to firm leaders, team members, and clients Demonstrate strong technical and computer-aided design skills to translate ideas into reality Qualifications
Strong design and form-giving skills 6 – 10 years of experience in architecture, with 3 – 5 years in multi-family midrise design in the United States Proficient in SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite and Enscape Ability to create architectural designs and concepts from yield to schematic design (SD) Experience with several housing types, building typologies and vocabularies Strong architectural design and planning skills Knowledge of California Building Code and construction types Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education
Bachelors in Architecture required California licensed architect preferred or progressing towards licensure required Position Location
The Senior Project Designer will be located in our Oakland office. We offer a hybrid schedule of three to four days in the office and Fridays from home. Salary
Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000 per year About TCA Oakland
The Oakland studio opened in 2013 and is led by the Principal in Charge. The team is tight-knit, efficient, and effective, with projects in the Bay Area and beyond. The 12th St. BART station is just outside the building, facilitating access to the Bay Area’s surrounding cities. Benefits
