Essential Functions & Responsibilities
BIM Implementation: Implement BIM processes and methodologies within assigned projects; develop and maintain BIM execution plans ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Modeling and Coordination: Create and manage detailed 3D models using BIM software to represent the physical and functional aspects of construction projects; conduct clash detection analyses.
Collaboration and Communication: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders through digital platforms; coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
VDC Process Optimization: Drive the utilization of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes to enhance project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation; implement and refine simulation techniques.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to project teams on BIM and VDC best practices; stay current with industry trends and advancements.
Education, Skills, and Abilities Required
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, computer-aided drafting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a BIM/VDC project environment.
Skills:
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and other BIM/3D modeling software.
Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Ability to balance design creativity with technical constraints and cost-efficiency.
Excellent communication and presentation skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Experience with cloud-based collaboration platforms.
Physical Requirements & ADA Essential Functions
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; manual dexterity for typing, filing, using office equipment.
Visual acuity to read small print; hearing acuity for effective communication.
Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment; mobility around the office.
Ability to travel 10–20%.
