Role CAD Designer/Senior CAD Designer - Autodesk Civil 3D in San Antonio, TX office (San Pedro Ave near the Loop 410 intersection)
Summary Join our BGE Public Works department in our San Antonio office (San Pedro Avenue near the Loop 410 intersection)
Job Responsibilities
Use Autodesk Civil 3D to perform accurate drafting and annotation for plan, profile, and detail sheets for various public work projects, including water resources, drainage, pump stations/lift stations, water, wastewater, reuse water, paving, etc.
Complete construction plan sets by compiling all plan and profiles, notes, and detail sheets to present a comprehensive design.
Complete redlines for modification of existing plans and notes or preparation of new details or design elements.
Coordinate and review design drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper standards are followed.
Able to lead and teach others in Civil 3D
Manage small production teams.
Job Requirements
10+ years of experience in civil engineering drafting, ideally in water, wastewater, facility, or Water Resources domain.
Technical degree, certification or similar in Autodesk Civil 3D
Experience working with engineers and senior designers.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to meeting deadlines.
Have a working knowledge of CAD standards, features, and annotation styles, line styles, sheet set manager, and drawing setup.
Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing multi-step tasks.
Willingness to learn and expand capabilities.
Ability to work in a team and work well with others.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
