Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Duration: 12 Months
Work Location: Ogden, UT
Job Summary
In this role, you will support Mechanical Engineers in developing engineering design drawings.
Major Responsibilities
Prepare 2‑D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) based on sketches and marked up prints.
Review drawings and documents prepared by others to ensure incorporation of drafting standards, procedures, discipline standards, and other national standards, as required.
Responsible for data integrity of components list.
Execute schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
Education and Experience Requirements Level 1
Requires a University Hire with 1‑2 years of experience or 5‑6 years of relevant work experience.
Level 2
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2‑5 years of relevant experience or 6‑9 years of relevant work experience.
Must be able to complete a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
Prior experience with industry-wide design/drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, PDS2D, PDS3D, Smartplant P&ID Component Databases.
Experience working in a project team environment to resolve issues and improve processes.
Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
