GHD . Our Northeast Engineering Design Organization (EDO) office is looking for a
Civil Designer
to join the team. In this role, you'll prepare detailed design drawings for grading and site development, utility piping, process piping and chemical feed system layouts of moderate to advanced complexity, including developing alignments, profiles, cross sections and details specific to wastewater/water facilities and horizontal infrastructure design projects such as force mains, storm/sanitary sewers and water pipelines. Working with an energetic and hard-working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in several design and analysis activities. Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently. Solutions Analysis: Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents. Applications Software Maintenance: Monitor, identify, and correct straightforward software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software. Operational Compliance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes, and obtain authorization from a supervisor for any exceptions from mandatory procedure. Product and Solution Development: Carry out a range of product development and engineering activities. Use established systems to analyze customer needs and define and deliver products. Design and Conceptualization: Research and interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design. Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Generate solutions to complex inefficiencies. Quality Assurance Testing: Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance. Qualifications
Associate’s degree in CADD or Civil Engineering Technology; HS Diploma and relevant experience will also be considered 3-8 years of experience in site-civil / water & wastewater / storm water / erosion & sediment control design Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D Revit, Civil HydroCAD and TR-55 experience a plus Must have an understanding of survey fundamentals
