As our Fire Sprinkler Systems Designer, you are responsible for leading the team to success by applying industry knowledge and quality standards while coordinating customer relations and budgeting necessities. In addition, you will provide design and technical support for installation and repair of fire sprinkler protection projects. Duties And Responsibilities

Uses discretion and judgment to complete design and installation drawings for fire sprinkler systems. Creates project material and equipment lists based on the completed design drawings. Conducts analytical studies of fire alarm protection proposals to develop designs in compliance with NFPA codes, manufacturer instructions and customer requirements. Supports operations by communicating with field personnel and subcontractors to properly execute installations based on field conditions. Performs and checks fire sprinkler system calculations. Assists with fire alarm system bid estimates. Provides standard design documents for Company records, authority having jurisdiction, and other required entities. Prepares analysis of criteria or data and reports to determine if alarm design meets criteria. Communicates design issues, job schedules, and routine updates to customers and the Service Center Manager. Participates in pre-submittal, project review, and job cost meetings. Maintains professional conduct to positively represent the Company. Expected to fulfill obligations consistently and maintain commitments. Has authority to make decisions to facilitate successful transactions and customer satisfaction. Completes continuing education to maintain current certifications and licenses as required. Job Specifications

Encourages a team concept. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing). Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards. Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use trade tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings. Commitment to quality customer service. Self-starter with the ability to work independently. Strong organizational skills. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Ability to handle multiple projects and set priorities. Effective interaction with all levels of personnel and stakeholders. Positive and professional demeanor. Ability to adapt to change, resolve conflicts, and solve problems with minimal direction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, relevant databases, CADD, and interface equipment. Education And Experience
