Overview
Insight Global is looking for a CAD Technician for our largest telecom client. This entry-level position requires developing knowledge in a specific area of drafting (electrical, mechanical, or civil) with the ability to operate a computer-aided drafting (CAD) system. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD and an interest in the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities
Diagrams, schematics, layouts, multi-view drawings to scale in accordance with clients' requests
Mathematical, geometrical, and minor engineering computations
Scale engineering drawings using CAD
Prepare detailed design drawings including structure, schematic, foundation, grounding, steel, layout, equipment, apparatus, wiring, panels, AC & DC, one-lines
Produce drawings necessary to create substation, relay, and line design job packages
File drawings, maintain catalogs of engineering data, and perform routine drawing room functions
Qualifications
Successful completion of HS diploma or GED
Experience working with a computer design program (e.g., Photoshop, drafting, 3D modeling, interior design, graphic design)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree
Experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation
Compensation $21/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
