Advanced Physical Therapy of Alaska is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to work at our Anchorage clinic located at 1917 Abbott Rd. This full‑time position begins on an as‑available basis and offers a supportive team culture and a range of benefits.
Our mission is to provide an advanced physical therapy experience using clinical expertise and quality service to improve the wellness of the communities we serve.
As a PTA, you will independently implement and manage therapeutic programs according to an established treatment plan under the guidance and supervision of a physical therapist. You will document all care and services provided, perform tasks in compliance with the professional code of ethics, standards of practice, state/national regulations, and departmental policies.
Compensation $65,000 – 80,000 per year DOE

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Successfully passed the national board exam
Licensed to practice as a PTA in the state of Alaska
Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor and reliability in attendance and performance
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment
Responsibilities
Treat patient dysfunctions in accordance with the physical therapist’s plan of care
Use safe, effective treatment methods to achieve functional and measurable goals
Recommend modifications to treatment plans to progress patients toward discharge criteria
Document patient care in compliance with all applicable regulations and policiesCommunicate relevant patient information to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Provide effective informal and formal clinical instruction as needed
Interpret and apply the physical therapist’s plan of care to guide interventions
Assess patient response and suggest treatment changes as needed
Educate patients on interventions, expected outcomes, and alternatives
Promote injury prevention and wellness through patient education
Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration to develop intervention strategies
