As a Structural Designer at KOA, you will contribute to the planning and detailing of structural systems for industrial and commercial projects, supporting both new construction and modifications to existing facilities. The successful candidate will utilize their experience and expertise in the field to provide solutions to a diverse clientele that includes multinational industry leaders. Essential Functions
Prepare plans, drawings, models, specifications, quantity take-offs, and other technical documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software Process preliminary design data to be used in various stages of design document preparation Collaborate with Engineers to complete design projects with various levels of complexity Utilize existing CAD and Revit standards in the development of design documents Perform field measurements for validation of existing or as-built conditions Recommend upgrades and revisions to internal procedures and practices Communicate, collaborate, and interact effectively with Krech Ojard staff, individuals from other organizations, and client representatives Perform other related functions as assigned Required Qualifications
Technical degree in Drafting or CAD Design, or two years of technical course work focused in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline Minimum 2 years working with AutoDesk Revit or other CAD software in industries related to design and construction. Additional experience may be substituted for educational requirements Knowledge and application of the principles and practices of CAD development and creation of drawing packages at various stages of design development Desired Qualifications
General knowledge of equipment and materials used in the construction phase of projects Perform mathematical calculations relative to drafting and design layout of systems and structures Performance of limited inspections of construction work to confirm compliance with design intent Compensation
Depending on the successful candidate’s background and experience, compensation for this position will include an annual base salary in the range of $45,000 – $70,000 per year.
