Physician – Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Surgical Retina (Vitreoretinal Surgeon)
We are seeking a full‑time clinical Vitreoretinal Surgeon Ophthalmologist for The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide patient care, conduct research, and contribute to education in Surgical Retina. Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive surgical and non‑surgical retina services, including day‑case and inpatient procedures. • Engage in teaching activities with medical students, residents, fellows, and graduate students. • Participate in clinical trials, quality improvement, curriculum development, and other faculty initiatives. • Commit to service at OSUWMC facilities and other clinical sites as assigned, and serve on departmental and college committees. Requirements
U.S. citizenship required (due to contractual agreements with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs). Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Ophthalmology by appointment and eligible for licensure in Ohio. MD or DO degree with complete residency in Ophthalmology and subspecialty fellowship in Surgical Retina. Academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and credentials. Proficiency in medical and surgical management of Surgical Retina. Evidence of basic and/or clinical applied research and publications. Commitment to resident, fellow, and student education.
