Position The Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) team of the Human Services Agency (HSA) of San Mateo County is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Rehabilitation Production Supervisor I/II Spanish Speaking Required. The schedule of this position will vary and may include evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Instruct, train and supervise support staff and individuals with emotional and physical disabilities or other barriers to employment.

Supervise the operation of Vocational Rehabilitation Services’ WorkCenter, including planning work layout, ensuring quality control, and meeting customer demands.

Track and report on client progress, attendance and employment potential, and prepare written evaluations.

Maintain records of materials, supplies, inventory, and shipping/receiving operations.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance procedures.

Assist in the design and production of jigs, tools, and fixtures; perform minor repair and routine maintenance.

Supervise staff flow in/out of the WorkCenter and serve as back‑up to Production Manager.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Fluent in English and Spanish; Spanish speaking required.

Experience supervising staff in product or service delivery operations.

Two years experience in an industrial production operation or rehabilitation WorkCenter, including a supervisory assignment for Level II.

Forklift certification and ability to operate forklift, vehicles, and materials handling equipment.

Knowledge of computerized inventory control, automated shipping systems, and safety regulations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports and evaluations.

Basic mathematics proficiency.

Education and Experience Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
