HDR is looking for a Senior Design Coordinator to join our Architecture practice in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll: Independently evaluate, select, and apply architectural techniques, procedures, and modifications to construction documents. Perform architectural assignments with minimal guidance from the Project Architect or Project Manager regarding expected results. Work directly with owners/clients to select and recommend procedures. Write specifications covering architectural matters and perform code reviews. Assist Project Architects, other Coordinators, or Technicians, taking responsibility for work in all phases of the architectural process. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Architecture. 10 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in healthcare, educational, civic, science, and research facilities. Interest and experience in sustainable design/LEED. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and 3-D Studio Max. Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper. Local candidates are preferred. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field. At least 5 years of professional or internship experience preparing details, specifications, and construction documents. Credentials to obtain future registration. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project). Desire to grow professionally and obtain registration. Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and related tools. Graphic presentation skills.
