Role Overview
The Manager, TFE & Tooling Design, will be responsible for designing test facility equipment and assembly tooling while leading a group of designers toward that common goal.
What You’ll Do…
Maintain and oversee the integrity of assembly-level models for test cells and facility integration
Act as the technical owner for all mechanical aspects of a test asset being integrated into a test facility
Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), of test enabling hardware as well as assembly tooling
Provide final approval on hardware drawings for manufacturing, ensuring they meet fit, form, and function requirements
Help establish and uphold companywide design standards and best practices
Work closely with engineers to design, analyze, and evaluate components and assemblies using sound engineering principles and industry standards
Conduct quality checks to eliminate interferences and ensure interface requirements are met
Ensure drawings and models align with industry standards for configuration management
Ensure Compliance with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Participate in design reviews and work closely with Engine Design, System, Assembly and Test Teams
Communicate significant issues or developments promptly to stakeholders
Participate in research and development of additive design technologies and methodologies
Provide guidance on improving product designs through additive manufacturing techniques
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated, adhering to engineering best practices
Team Development
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing design engineering team as the organization grows
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team
Performance Management
Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members
Conduct performance reviews and guide professional growth for direct reports

You have…
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Design from an accredited university or college
At least 10 years of experience in the design of complex additive or gas turbine components
3+ years in a leadership position leading or managing a team
Experience with system-level CAD models, parametric modeling, and PLM/PDM systems.
Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies and design principles for additive manufacturing
Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Passion for additive technology and a willingness to challenge design limitations to exploit additive capabilities fully
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Demonstrated problem-solving ability and strong program leadership and execution skills
Proven self-starter and quick learner who can work effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $155,943-$218,385 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
