Shearer's Foods
The Analyst, Film Planning position plays a key role in the support of Shearer’s Sourcing and Procurement. The position will be responsible for the management of a key supplier within the procurement organization. The position reports to the Director of Packaging and works cross-functionally between Supply Chain, Commercialization, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in Raw Material Planning, Supplier relationship management, and inventory control.
Your Seat at the Table
Manage Planning and Orders of film that is under project status including customer product launches and art transitions. This includes inventory and demand reviews and check-ins with Commercial for project timing.
Issue Build order releases
Work with plant Supply Chain on film expedite needs and contact supplier and solve for the need. Proactively and quickly communicate information back to the business
Process project invoices through capital program
Monthly review of Aged Film Inventory and work in conjunction with the Obsolescence team to solve for best outcome
Assists Category Supervisor with Quality issues as needed from supplier
Reviews vendor managed inventory orders for excess builds
What you Bring to the Table
A bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Purchasing, forecasting and inventory planning.
Systems and Process Knowledge
Proficient in MRP/ERP systems
Understands how planning decisions impact the broader supply chain
Strong Analytical Skills
Uses forecast data to order, optimize inventory and reduce waste
Comfortable with ERP systems, Excel and data visualization tools
Detail‑Oriented Mindset – able to catch discrepancies before they become issues
Coordinates effectively with procurement, commercial, production, suppliers and logistics
Communicates delays or changes proactively and clearly
Proactive Problem Solving
Anticipates supply chain disruptions and develops contingency plans
Quickly adapts to changes in demand or supplier performance
Prioritizes tasks based on production schedules and business impact
Resilience Under Pressure
Stays calm and focused during disruptions or urgent changes
Builds strong relationships with vendor and internal stakeholders
