Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technical Designer III to apply engineering techniques to design and evaluate integrated systems for industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Apply engineering techniques to design and evaluate integrated systems for industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes and production standards. Consider workflow, layout, and safety measures when designing industrial plants and facilities. Draft and design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer systems. Ensure designs meet organizational and production goals. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff; may act as a lead or first-level supervisor. Coordinate work product with other disciplines and ensure document organization and clarity. Develop design options for resolution of system conflicts and prepare proposals and project reports. Travel up to 20% as required for project needs. Areas of Expertise

An Industrial Mechanical Technical Designer will perform industrial and mechanical engineering services on projects ranging from small to large scope for facilities that process minerals, fertilizers, pulp and paper, and petrochemicals, among others, with knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Bulk material handling Process piping Conveyance equipment Dust collection Chute fabrication drawings Tank/bin design Rotating equipment Equipment platforms/catwalks Familiarity with MSHA standards and other related industrial process design parameters is highly desired. Design or construction experience in Design/Build and EPC project delivery methods is desirable. Required Skills

Perform design services as an engineer, including conceptual studies, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, mass balance, calculations, equipment and instrument selection, and general arrangements for bulk material handling, process piping, dust collection, chute fabrication drawings, tank/bin design, and equipment platforms/catwalks with minimal direction. Coordinate and communicate all aspects of industrial and mechanical design within multi-disciplinary teams as requested by the Design Manager or Project Engineer. Develop project schematic designs, design development designs, and construction documents. Comply with quality control policies and procedures. Provide support during bidding, including preparing addenda, amendments, attending pre-bid meetings, opening bids, tabulating bids, and technical bid analysis. Provide construction-phase services including representing the firm on-site, answering RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and preparing as-builts as directed. Work with and take direction from senior engineers and project managers; possess excellent communication skills; demonstrate technical precision and creative design skills. Must have graduated from an ABET-accredited 4-, 5-, or 6-year engineering program, ideally in mechanical engineering or related field. Proficiency with company software for word processing, email, and information management; working familiarity with design and production software to develop project documents and interact with project team members. Software examples include: Microsoft Office AutoCAD Revit BIM Typically 8–12 years of significant design and practice experience with an industrial firm or multi-discipline Architectural & Engineering firm. Working Conditions
