Overview
Outdoor Living furniture & product expert role requiring knowledge of featured furniture, pottery, and accessory vendors. The position provides quotes and presentations to clients for showroom purchases or special orders from vendors.
Responsibilities
Provide the highest level of customer service to all clients in person, by phone, and via email.
Perform all sales functions in Point of Sale.
Prepare client presentations including product visuals, pricing, shipping/freight charges, and lead time.
Conduct home consult visits as needed to assess client needs and collect property photos.
Familiarize yourself with all products available through vendor options, including custom options.
Be a furniture expert and know where to find answers (catalogues, websites, colleagues, or management).
Use a tracking sheet to stay updated on client orders and maintain regular communication about lead times, delays, or issues; collaborate with management to resolve problems.
Coordinate with Support/Delivery teams to schedule client deliveries.
Promote all services offered by The Laurel Group divisions (Design Build, Maintenance, Sports Courts, etc.).
Execute proper opening and closing procedures for the showroom.
Assist with outdoor sign changes and showroom merchandising as needed.
Participate in year-end inventory and assist with product deliveries, including inspecting, tagging, counting, reporting damage, and packing out goods.
Maintain working knowledge of indoor and outdoor plants; connect clients to plant experts when needed.
Qualifications
2-4 years’ experience in retail sales.
Design experience; formal training not required.
PC skills, particularly Excel and Word; Photoshop/Illustrator and AutoCad a plus.
Good communication skills and self-motivation; ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
