Overview
Encore Music, a thriving and community-rooted music school with two vibrant locations, is excited to welcome a second Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to our team! Our current therapist now has a full schedule five days a week, and demand continues to grow—we have a waitlist and are ready to expand! This is a rare opportunity to join a flourishing program and help even more students benefit from the healing power of music. You’ll receive guaranteed pay for 6 hours per day, 2 days a week to start, with guaranteed pay for both instruction and administrative time—plus a clear path to full-time as your caseload grows. There is also an opportunity for an additional two days of classroom teaching at a school for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) for a candidate interested in taking on 4 days to start. Responsibilities
Design and lead individualized, goal-oriented music therapy sessions Collaborate with families and staff to assess and support student progress Create a warm, welcoming space for students of all ages and abilities Qualifications
MT-BC certified (required) Degree in Music Therapy or equivalent Comfortable working with diverse populations and age groups Organized, communicative, and reliable Excited to grow your caseload in a positive, community-centered setting Compensation & Schedule
$35/hour for direct instruction (up to 5.5 hours per day) Pay increase discussion after 90 days Paid administrative duties (up to 3 hours per day at the non-instructional rate) Total: 8-hour paid day (guaranteed 2 days/week with 6+ hours paid each day to start) Opportunity to increase hours and days as your schedule fills What We Offer
