The position of a Civil/Structural Designer I supports the engineering staff through basic drafting and design principles by the collection and analysis of data obtained from the field, from project information for the benefit of our clients using modern drafting and BIM practices. Qualifications
Be able to submit to a drug test upon offer of position. Possess a valid driver’s license. Understand modern computer software: MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks, etc. Have the willingness to learn how to use field equipment and their practices which include the utilization of GPS surveying and laser scanning equipment. Be able to physically maneuver through a client facility that may include tight, but not confined, spaces. Be able to commute to the office location. Desired Education/Experience
Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in the drafting of civil/structural projects. A vocational or an associate’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CADD), or the equivalent experience. Basic knowledge of the design and layout of structure foundations, steel framing, concrete/wood/light gage metal/masonry framed structures. Ability to develop standard design layouts that consider and incorporate requirements from other engineering disciplines to create a coordinated, unified design. About the Company
