We provide total building system design services across multiple high‑growth markets for industry leaders, working on projects for some of the biggest names in mission‑critical, higher education, sports, healthcare, grocery, restaurant, and retail sectors.
Position Overview As an entry‑level mechanical designer, you will contribute to six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue, collaborating with our sister company Henderson Building Solutions to deliver a unique client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Perform calculations and design basic engineering systems with experienced design staff.
Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
Prepare or modify reports, plans, and designs for projects.
Support business development or pursuit activities.
Participate in client, company, and industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
Occasionally visit job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
Seek to fill gaps in industry and discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
Maintain knowledge of common industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office products.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering and one year of experience, or three years of experience without a degree.
Basic proficiency in engineering design, including A&E industry knowledge, codes, design guides, and standards.
Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
Understanding of the fundamental principles of HVAC design.
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
