Description HTI Cybernetics is currently seeking experienced Mechanical Designers to join our rapidly growing team in Sterling Heights Michigan! HTI Cybernetics designs and builds General Assembly machines (trim assembly, lift assist, hanging assembly machines, etc.).
Primary Responsibilities
Complete 3‑D designs and assemblies for a variety of moderately complex to complex ergonomic and automated tools.
Analyze as‑built tool design information and prepare design update plans.
Ensure all as‑builds and non‑conformances are updated on drawings.
Create field sketches and layouts.
Understand customer needs, apply technical knowledge to identify process requirements, recommend and implement custom engineered solutions.
Facilitate FMEAs/ERGO’s at rough sketch and 40% design completion phases.
Work concurrently on one or more projects of moderately complex scope.
Fill out or review control line‑up forms per designated project.
Demonstrate engineering professionalism in all activities and provide efficient service to customers.
Must understand customer design and build specifications.

Requirements
Two (2) years of experience or education in mechanical 3D solid modeling and design experience and proficiency in NX.
Associate degree or higher in design, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or a related field desired, AND/OR at least two (2) years of design experience.
Must have basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience
Software, Data Management, Vis‑Mock up, TeamCenter.
Prefer experience in Automotive Tooling required, preferably Final Line / Trim Chassis Final.
Customer background with GM preferred.
