CNC Tooling Programmer/Design Technician Join Herrmann Ultrasonics as a CNC Tooling Programmer/Design Technician. Description Seeking a skilled and dynamic individual for a hybrid function in Tooling Design and Programming of CNC milling machines. CREO is used for design work and MasterCAM & WinMax for programming. This could be an entry level job into the design world of industrial tools (sonotrodes) if you have machining experience, experience programming or modifying programs at the machines or using MasterCAM or similar. You will be developing and designing specialized tooling and fixtures for ultrasonic welding applications. Detailed training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Design and develop ultrasonic tooling and fixtures using CAD software (CREO)

Create CNC milling machine programs using MasterCAM and WinMax

Execute mechanical designs of customer requirements

Plan and schedule changes

Control project plans by reviewing design and specifications

Communicate with internal and external customers to clarify drawings and CAD models

Manage CAD library and project database

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience operating a CNC milling machine

Minimum 3 years CNC programming experience with multi‑axis CNC machines

Experience with MasterCAM

Experience with CAD systems, CREO preferred

Previous experience with product design for parts and tools preferred

Ability to read, analyze and interpret drawings

Familiar with GD&T, especially understanding and analyzing function and criticality of tolerances

Understanding of engineering fundamentals, design tools, manufacturing processes, materials, and global quality standards

Understanding of common industry specifications (material, coating, plating, etc.)

Experience working in ISO 9001 quality systems in a manufacturing environment

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with a sense of urgency

Proficiency with ANSYS (analysis/simulation) preferred

Proficiency with ERP systems preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

High School Diploma or equivalent education required

Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other related field preferred

Salaries and Benefits Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
