We are hiring a Systems Engineer/Program Risk Manager/Technical Writer with strong technical writing skills to support Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs. The Risk Manager will play a critical role in managing uncertainty and increasing predictable outcomes to deliver capability to the warfighter. This position will be on‑site Huntsville, AL. The Risk Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a Program Risk Management Process (PRMP) that supports communication of risks, issues, and opportunities to the Program Manager (PM) to inform PM decision‑making. The Risk Manager will also be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, maintaining accurate risk documentation, and facilitating risk meetings to foster collaboration across product teams. Candidates will need a strong background in systems engineering, risk analysis, technical writing, and program support with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across all disciplines. Maintain a comprehensive Program Risk Management Process (PRMP) to support effective communication of risks, issues, and opportunities to the PM, documenting the process with clarity and alignment with DoD standards. Identify, assess, and evaluate program risks, risk mitigation plans, issues, and corrective action plans to ensure compliance with established risk processes and effectively address program and operational risks and issues. Collaborate with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and personnel across all disciplines to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Create and maintain comprehensive risk documentation that adheres to established templates, formatting guidelines, and technical writing best practices. Translate complex risk management processes and technical concepts into clear, concise, and user‑friendly documentation for audiences across all disciplines. Write and edit technical manuals, process guides, and training materials to support risk management activities, ensuring accuracy and accessibility to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise. Facilitate Risk Management Boards and Risk Working Groups to encourage collaboration between product teams, prepare briefing materials and risk assessments, and communicate risks to the PM and Technical Chief. Maintain SharePoint Database, ensuring risks, issues, and opportunities are accurately documented, tracked, and updated to support leadership decision‑making. Qualifications

Education: 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Experience in positions directly related to Risk Management within DoD Acquisition programs. Demonstrated experience identifying and assessing program risks and issues and developing mitigation and corrective action plans. Experience facilitating risk management boards to foster collaboration and communicate risks effectively. Experience with DoD acquisition life‑cycle processes and systems engineering principles. Experience with the development and management of SharePoint and database systems. Knowledge of DoD standards and best practices for risk management. Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, including creating and editing technical documents, manuals, training materials, and reports. Peraton Overview

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. EEO
