Summary We are hiring an

AutoCAD Design Technician

to join our

Water/Wastewater

team in

Panama City Beach, Florida . This person will support engineers and designers on projects of increasing complexity, completing detailed drawings in a collaborative CAD environment with a focus on Wastewater Treatment Plants/Facilities. Responsibilities

Understanding of Wastewater Treatment Plant/Facility design.

Use advanced knowledge of computer design software to produce detailed drawings on multiple concurrent projects.

Revise or change drawings and complete standard calculations with specific instructions.

Plot maps and charts showing profiles and cross-sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to structures.

Complete site layout, dimension control plans, redline cleanup, detail sheet setup, plotting, and exhibits.

Develop detailed drawings of structures and installations such as buildings, roads, culverts, water supply, sewage disposal systems, and dikes.

Lay out and scale components of each drawing, prepare plot plans, section views, elevations, and details.

Complete assigned basic drafting work and print production of plan sets.

Provide time estimates required to complete tasks.

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of CAD software tools, including creating, editing, or modifying surfaces and pipe networks.

Provide preliminary drawings, sketches, and notes to other CAD Operators.

Recognize sheet setup preferences and requirements of internal and external clients.

Maintain file management of CAD files and other documents.

Recommend best practices and process improvements.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school plus more than 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrates advanced proficiency in design software such as MicroStation/Geopak, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or ArcGIS. Basic knowledge of surfaces, corridors, and utility alignments.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
