Position Overview As a RESTORATION CONTENTS CREW LEAD, you will be leading crews to perform personal property (contents) services and fire‑smoke structure cleaning on projects in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. The role is one of the most crucial in our organization as you will be the face of the company leading technicians and helping serve our customers by restoring their homes and businesses in critical time of need. You must be able to produce jobs for contents packing, moving, storage, warehousing, cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing; ability to produce jobs for fire‑smoke structure cleaning and deodorization. You will be responsible for supervising technician(s) to start and complete the project from start to finish, and prepare and carefully review documentation to include notes, photos and documents according to company policies and procedures; ensuring safety and operational standards are being followed and met during active jobs. You also must be able to explain processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers. Supervises technician(s) assigned to the job ensuring safety and operational standards are being followed and met during active jobs.

Job Responsibilities
Lead and run a contents and/or structure cleaning crew
Ability to drive company vehicles such as cargo vans, moving vans, moving trucks, etc.
Contents packing, inventorying, disassembling, reassembling, loading, chain of custody, transport, and storage warehousing
Assess contents damages for salvageability
Contents total loss inventorying
Fire‑Smoke damage cleaning, deodorization, and air scrubbing services (contents and structure)
Removing and disposing of debris
Ability to lift a minimum of 50‑70 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
Maintaining vehicles in a clean, serviceable condition
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving and customer service skills
Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
Experience with entering data using a tablet or mobile phone
Report to work on time in a clean, complete uniform
Ensure safety standards are being followed during all active jobs
Read and follow product label usage instructions
Knowledge of disaster restoration industry
Retrieve work orders, ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrive at work site
Completes assigned jobs according to company processes and carrier standards, maintains quality control, manages technician(s) assigned to job
Explains processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers using printed materials as a guide
Interfaces with adjusters in person, over the phone, and virtually to resolve issues and answer questions about the loss
Resolves issues with customers, communicates customer issues, daily job activities with key company staff
Prepares and/or reviews documentation to include notes, photos and have documents signed by customer according to company policies using software to ensure reimbursement from insurance companies
May train new technicians or key operational team members
Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance
Leave job site with a clean and orderly appearance
Perform production processes following company production guidelines per work order per crew lead directions
Ensure clear two‑way communication with crew, office, and especially regarding customer needs and concerns
Perform end‑of‑day/end‑of‑job cleanup and breakdown. Leave job site with a clean and orderly appearance
Job Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Knowledge of contents and fire‑smoke restoration best practices
Role models customer service expectations with homeowners, adjusters, vendors, etc.
Proficient with using an iPhone and/or iPad
Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
Experience in training and supervising others
Strong problem‑solving skills
Communicates customer issues, job activities with key company staff
Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
Ability to exhibit a high attention to detail ensuring the highest quality of workmanship throughout restoration projects
Ability to perform contents water and fire cleaning and deodorization tasks
Understand and execute work orders in a timely and professional manner
Ability to operate efficiently with minimum supervision
Ability to provide crew leaders and company management with timely and accurate information related to the progress and status of projects
Able to participate in the on‑call rotation (we are an emergency service)
Preferred, But Not Required
Certifications are preferred, but not required (e.g., FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician, OCT – Odor Control Technician)
Bilingual in Spanish
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required
Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
Ability to occasionally climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
Express or exchange ideas with others and receive and act on detailed information given
For safety reasons, respirators used in certain situations must be able to seal to your face
Exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating
Compensation $18‑$23 per hour depending on experience, PTO, Holidays, medical, dental, and vision benefits
