Position Summary The Market Liaison is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with hospitals, physician groups, case managers, and community referral sources to promote the facility’s long-term care and skilled nursing services. This role combines clinical expertise with marketing strategies to ensure appropriate patient referrals, smooth transitions of care, and increased census development while maintaining the highest standards of clinical integrity. The Market Liaison will also serve as a backup to the facility’s Admissions Coordinator, assuming responsibilities during absences or offering support as needed to ensure a seamless admissions process.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and grow referral relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, and community organizations.

Assess potential patients for appropriate clinical and rehabilitation needs prior to admission, collaborating with facility clinical teams to ensure safe transitions.

Serve as the primary liaison between referral sources and the facility, providing timely communication and updates on patient admissions and outcomes.

Educate referral sources and the community about the facility’s services, specialized programs, and quality outcomes.

Conduct tours, presentations, and outreach events to promote services and strengthen brand awareness.

Track and report referral activity, admission trends, and market conditions to leadership.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient satisfaction and continuity of care.

Meet or exceed census and occupancy goals established by facility leadership.

Assist facility Admissions Coordinator with the internal admissions process as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, healthcare, or related fields preferred; equivalent healthcare/marketing experience considered.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare marketing.

Strong knowledge of post-acute care, referral processes, and discharge planning.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers and community partners.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet goals.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to travel frequently within the community, hospitals, and physician offices.

May require evening or weekend work to attend networking events or accommodate referral source schedules.

Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods.
