ACCENT DANCE NYC - Teaching Artist needed for Fall

$100/ class X 2 classes each day = $200/ day + transportation reimbursement

ACCENT DANCE NYC is seeking an experienced teaching artist who is strong in teaching contemporary dance and dancemaking to teach a 10-session dance residency for 2 classes - one for high school students and another for middle school students - during the Fall, 2025. The classes are part of a teen program at a community center in Mount Vernon. The classes will be on Wednesday evenings from 5:15-7:30 October through December. During the 10-session residency the teaching artist will work with each class of students to create dances that capture the joy and express ideas important to them about the Black American experience. These dances created will be performed for the Mount Vernon community at a Gala in February 2026. ACCENT DANCE NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance and prioritizes hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve. BIPOC artists are especially encouraged to apply, though all are welcome.
