Mission Multiplier is seeking a
Junior Technical Writer
with a foundational understanding of cybersecurity compliance and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. This position will conduct documentation quality reviews, maintain process consistency, and develop customer-facing deliverables aligned with DoD and federal cybersecurity standards.
This position is ideal for an early-career professional interested in combining technical writing and cybersecurity compliance responsibilities within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
Job Responsibilities
Review cybersecurity documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, policies, procedures, and evidence packages) for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to CMMC 2.0 Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 requirements.
Perform internal QA checks across deliverables to ensure consistency in formatting, references, and technical accuracy.
Support audit readiness activities, ensuring all documentation aligns with Mission Multiplier's standardized CMMC evidence structure.
Develop and edit standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, memos, and training materials supporting cybersecurity and IT operations.
Translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear, concise, and accessible documentation for internal and client audiences.
Contribute to documentation templates and style guides used across cybersecurity and proposal teams.
Assist in mapping documentation to applicable controls and frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, etc.).
Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. Some college classes preferred.
1-2 years of technical writing experience or other job with strong attention to detail preferred.
Strong attention to detail skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, SharePoint, etc.) preferred.
Willingness to learn Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
Willingness to learn Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool (IntelliGRC).
Onsite/Hybrid position.
No supervisory responsibilities.
Must be able to learn and work with employees who work remotely via virtual means.
