Home Depot Installation Services Design Consultant
role at NKBA. This role focuses on selling exterior and interior products and services, primarily through outside sales visits to customers' homes and trade shows. The Design Consultant travels to customer locations and industry events, develops tailored product recommendations, prepares price quotes, presents warranty information and financing options, and completes required sales contracts and paperwork. The position involves traveling away from a dedicated office environment for the majority of working time. Occasional activities may occur at a customer’s home or through virtual channels. Key Responsibilities
Travel and engage in outside sales activities, primarily in customers’ homes. Conduct professional and compelling sales presentations and adapt quickly to changing customer needs to advocate HDIS solutions. Assess customer needs, develop price quotes, measure product specifications, present warranty and financing options, and complete sales-related paperwork. Proactively solicit and acquire new customers inside assigned THD stores and at industry events (e.g., Home Shows); develop and maintain relationships with store management and associates; educate store staff on HDIS offerings. Direct reporting and travel This position reports to a Sales Manager and has no direct reports. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Required and Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must be eighteen years of age or older; must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Computer and application skills and use of varied technology (email, iPad, apps, etc.). Preferred Qualifications 3–5 years of prior in-home or virtual sales experience; prior home improvement industry experience; prior experience with lead generation. Proficiency with technology and applications used in sales activities. Education High school diploma and/or GED. No additional education required (as indicated). Experience Minimum 3 years of work experience. Preferred: no additional leadership experience required. Certifications and Working Conditions
Design Consultants are expected to maintain 55 hours of open calendar time per week (including weekends) to support customer appointments and prospecting. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from dust, fumes, or odors. Requires regular and frequent local travel; access to reliable transportation may be required; travel reimbursement provided as required by state and federal law. Compensation
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is between $40,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year. Location
