Blue Chip Talent
Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a Tier‑1 automotive supplier, is seeking a skilled NX / CATIA CAD Designer. This role is responsible for creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for cooling-system components, as well as leading design reviews with customer teams.
Responsibilities
Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings of engine and battery cooling components (hoses, pipes, connectors, manifolds)
Support design reviews and customer meetings, presenting CAD packages and gathering feedback
Collaborate with project engineers and cross-functional teams from concept through release
Apply manufacturability checks, cost reduction ideas, and ensure compliance with internal and customer standards
Release CAD deliverables into PLM/ERP systems (e.g., TeamCenter) and maintain design version control
Support RFQ phases by generating CAD concepts, measurement packages, and supporting documentation
Participate in quality checks, design verification, and validation handoff
Qualifications
Proficiency in NX (Siemens) and CATIA V5
Minimum ~5 years of CAD design experience (automotive experience strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience designing injection-molded plastic parts
Experience working in TeamCenter or similar PLM environments
Ability to work both independently in CAD and collaboratively in customer review settings
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Prior experience working with Stellantis or in Stellantis programs
Experience with NX Mechanical Routing
Familiarity with vehicle OEM standards (Stellantis, Ford)
Experience with Vis.Mockup or other digital mockup/visualization tools
