Under general supervision, the Technical Writer writes and edits technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing literature, verifying copy with relevant departments, coordinating production and distribution, and developing, writing, and editing material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related publications. The role involves studying blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate technology, operating procedures, and production details. The Technical Writer III also maintains records, selects illustrations, assists in layout and publication, and may write speeches, articles, and releases. Essential Skills
Strong planning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and task/time management skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, responsive, and willing to assist where needed. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Conduct project quality control functions. Preferred Experience/Education
Four-year degree with emphasis on writing/editing and/or five years' experience in writing/editing or complex administrative tasks. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suites, graphic design, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Knowledge Sharing Network (KSN) administration and document management. Ability to pass the applicable background investigation. Salary: $37.35 per hour Additional Details
