Position: Project Manager – Rural Programs The Project Manager for the Alaska Energy Authority’s Rural Programs will manage the planning, design, and construction of rural power systems, including diesel power plants, bulk fuel tank farms, renewable energy systems, and power distribution systems. The manager also provides technical assistance and training to rural Alaska communities in order to support the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of bulk fuel tank farms, electrical power and distribution systems, and renewable energy systems.
Responsibilities
Manage planning, design, and construction of rural power systems.
Provide technical assistance and training to rural communities.
Support safe and reliable operation and maintenance of bulk fuel tank farms, electrical power and distribution systems, and renewable energy systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field, or Project Management Certification (PMP).
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, operations, and/or maintenance of power and/or bulk fuel systems.
Preference for experience managing rural Alaska projects.
Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Alaska.
