We're seeking a seasoned Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect to lead the design and implementation of complex marketing automation solutions. In this role, you'll serve as the technical expert and strategic advisor-translating business goals into robust Marketing Cloud architectures, guiding development teams, and ensuring seamless integration across the Salesforce ecosystem. If you enjoy solving technical challenges and driving enterprise-wide impact, we'd love to hear from you. This role could require up to 25% travel annually. This usually means potentially visiting a client site once a quarter.

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Marketing Cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions that align with business objectives, ensure technical integrity, and optimize performance. This role requires deep technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, strong integration skills, and a strategic mindset.

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced Marketing Cloud solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions that align with business objectives, ensure technical integrity, and optimize performance. This role requires deep technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, strong integration skills, and a strategic mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect and design end-to-end Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, including data models, integrations, and automation strategies.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Guide development teams through implementation, ensuring adherence to best practices and performance standards.
- Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and external systems using APIs, ETL tools, and middleware.
- Optimize campaign performance through advanced segmentation, personalization, and automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security standards.
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with marketing strategies and business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Salesforce ecosystem, with at least 4 years focused on Marketing Cloud architecture and development.
- Proven experience designing and implementing complex Marketing Cloud solutions (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, etc.).
- Strong understanding of data architecture, API integrations, and ETL processes.
- Experience with AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, and scripting for dynamic content and automation.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Technical Architect, Marketing Cloud Consultant) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task execution.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plus.
- A solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, including ethical considerations, is expected.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance solution design and delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
