Dark Burn Creative, a division of Trailer Park Group (TPG), is a leading gaming entertainment marketing agency specializing in global content creation, trailers/promotions, and gameplay capture.
We are looking for a talented Freelance Assistant Editor to join our innovative editorial team. The role demands a self-starter with a passion for the gaming industry, proven content production skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving creative environment.
NOTE: This freelance role requires full‑time, on‑site employment at our Woodland Hills, California location.
Responsibilities
- Manage assets for editorial and finishing.
- Resizes, cutdowns, and overcuts of trailers and editorial content.
- Prep trailers and content for finishing.
- Learn and follow Dark Burn’s organization of network and asset management.
- Learn and follow Dark Burn’s security requirements and procedures.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of trailer production experience.
- 2+ years of assistant editor experience.
- Love of video games.
- Understanding of frame rates, conversions, and codecs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with discernment.
- Ability to work independently, with strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage upward and downward.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime with little notice.
This is a 2‑month freelance assignment.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay range: $22 – $25 USD.
In addition to a competitive base salary, TPG offers a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees, including medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, maternity/paternity benefits, 401(k), paid holidays, sick leave, and more. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus compensation.
