How You’ll Make An Impact Conceptualize, develop and produce full‑length audio programming centered on the game of golf. You will work with producers, hosts and production staff to generate content by brainstorming ideas, finding supporting audio, obtaining music for shows, booking guests and handling a checklist of technical duties. You will collaborate on all aspects of assigned live shows, events and specialty content, ensuring that all live, pre‑ and post‑production tasks are completed.

Pre‑Production

Work with PD, Executive Producers and team to design the overall sound and image of program(s) consistent with platform goals.

Create, coordinate, write and produce original programs, segments, daily promos and/or specials.

Research topics and themes to write scripts, line copy, and develop show content for hosts.

Develop novel and creative ways to present content.

Participate in creative meetings to brainstorm ideas, select programming content and delegate work assignments.

Aggressively identify, select and book celebrity, expert and lifestyle guests with the programming team; oversee those assisting with guest bookings.

Research guests’ backgrounds, develop interview questions and pre‑interview guests.

Coach hosts, talent and guests, and provide relevant information to hosts for on‑air interviews.

Schedule program elements prior to air, ensuring that rotation and policies are followed.

Develop and maintain relationships with major publicists, political figures, entertainment companies, and industry contacts who will be active in pursuing placement of guests on SiriusXM's programs and provide show content.

Production

Determine the appropriate mix of sound elements for assigned shows and ensure that levels are mixed properly.

Ensure that the on‑air product is up to broadcast standards before it leaves the studios.

Ensure that personnel are assigned to monitor sound equipment during airtime, and that clip information, music and non‑music elements have been entered into audio software.

Establish programming clocks with team so that all content and advertisements are featured as planned.

Post‑Production

Monitor assigned channels for quality control and report content errors and technical issues to the appropriate individuals for correction.

Coordinate delivery of executed sales items to the traffic department.

Review completed programs and lead audio editing assignments.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

Work with broadcast operations staff to coordinate logistics for remote broadcasts.

Interface with on‑air personalities, engineering staff, marketing/advertising staff, talent and artists.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

At least 2 years of experience in radio, audio or broadcast production.

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Strong interest in golf.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Attention to detail and high level of organization.

Professionalism over the phone and in person.

Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to work with high‑profile talent/guests.

Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.

Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects.

Creative writing ability.

Excellent time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi‑task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Galaxy, Zetta and Adobe Audition.

Mixing sound elements into a professional‑sounding product.

Operating an audio board.

Thorough knowledge of MS‑Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Proficiency with Photoshop and video editing preferred.

Proficiency with BroadView preferred.

Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. The annual salary for this position is expected to be between $47,000 and $55,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
